Bainbridge Community Foundation
In 2001, community members came together to
create the Bainbridge Community Foundation. The
vision was simple - to maintain and enhance the
quality of life for all Bainbridge Island residents by
ensuring support for a strong and healthy nonprofit
sector.
By its most basic definition, a community foundation receives contributions from individuals in the community, invests those gifts for long term growth, and distributes funds back into the areas of greatest need in the community. In addition, the Foundation administers Donor Advised Funds and Designated Funds as giving vehicles for individuals, families, and businesses. These giving vehicles help provide the donors with short- or long- term strategies for meeting their charitable goals. For more information on our donor services click here.
The Bainbridge Community Foundation hosts an annual community grant cycle and supports a variety of nonprofit sectors. The Foundation also makes grants to affordable housing projects through its Housing Action Fund, and to unforeseen emergency needs through its Community Response Fund. 2013 COMMUNITY GRANTS & GRANTEE CELEBRATION
Applications are now closed and BCF's Evaluation Team is hard at work reviewing and
prioritizing applications. Please mark your calendars for the Grantee Celebration on
June 27, 2013, 4:30-6PM at Bainbridge Performing Arts where we will announce our
2013 grant recipients. This event is open to the pubic.
